thought I'd ask some people who probably know more about this than me

Hello teenage gadget lovers,

I need a new mobile. Let me rephrase that - I'd like a new mobile.

My contract is up soon and 3 have offered me what I think is a smashing deal - 300 mins, 1000txts for £15 per month. double mins and txt for 6 months. 18 month contract.

The catch is I can only have one of the following phones: Nok N70, 6630, 6680. LG U890, U300, 8360.

They all look a bit dodge to me. Have any of you heard anything good or bad about any of them?

Really what I want is a small, good looking phone that works well without a million gadgets I will never used. Not really fussed about a camera to be honest. Any of you recommend a phone or warn against one? (even if not on the above list)

Anyway - any comments gratefully received - Thanks :)

I've got a fairly new phone at the moment which has a mp3 player, a 2mp camera, it has a game on it, it knows what day it is and it has a calendar.
I want my next phone to have some useful features on it like, stopping me when I am going to make a stupid remark (It will have to have a good battery life for this). Or having an opinion on the clothes I wear, it may say "I don't think that shirt goes with those jeans" (perhaps it should be female or pink). Of course those who know me, know that I don't have a feminine side, so I can't be in touch with it.

I just want to join in.

I have a silver nokia phone and it's really hard to see the numbers and letters on the keys (I can't spell the word beginning "char" that means both letters and numbers and is quicker than writing three words - including "and" - so I have to write it the long way.)

Having said that I'm a nokia girl.

Hope that helps.

Heres a good one to look at as well;
Sony Ericsson K800i
Review:
The best thing about Sony's new K800i is that it feels gorgeous to use. The smooth-feel black case with metal details gives it a tactile satisfaction that, in the gadget world, is normally reserved for Apple products.
The next best thing about it is that by phone standards it has an amazingly good camera; 3.2 megapixels with autofocus and, very importantly, a real electronic flash that can light up a moderately sized room. It also has a facility called BestPic which takes 9 pictures when you press the shutter rather than one. You then choose on the display which one you want to save. This helps compensate for the problems the cameraphone has with shutter lag - it can still take over 2 seconds to focus and shoot.

You will groan loudly when you realise that the phone uses yet another memory card format - Sony's own M2 Memory Stick - and be slightly annoyed that there's no 3.5mm headphone adaptor included, that the video quality isn't great and that there's no optical zoom. But you'll be happier when you discover the reasonable battery life and a great FM radio with RDS.
