Music A level...a hard subject in many different ways....

hello everybody!

i've just moved up to sixth form at my school and im doing Chemistry, Pe, Biology and yes you've guessed it...Music. now i haven't done GSCE music so A level is gonna be a big challenge. i do have the background knowledge of reading music from the army but that appears to be it...i don't have a clue about 6ths and minor/major...so any help on the theory and compositions is very grateful.

the other difficulty is performing...which i'm not too bothered about..yet..but that'll come later. However i am bothered about one performance.

within the next week, i have to perform in front of a camera (im singing) to be able to record and analyse your performance. you're probably thinking, its nothing...not like theres an audience of 100 people or what have you.

well theres not and its not that im worried about. its what im singing. im gonna sing "this is the air i breathe" and "draw me close to you" out of (those who are familiar with it..) the source two. now im not worried about the singing - its about the peoples reaction. i dont mean im ashamed of singing it or anything its just i've never done anything like this in front of non Christians before - on my own. i just ask for you to pray to help me say the right things to anyone who asks. i'm not sure if my faith is strong enough to do it and so i'd ask for you to pray for strength on the performance day.

i cant wait to sing as i love these songs so much...they mean so much to me. i want to sing them like i always do...meaning what i say...and i want others to see that. its just the talking about it afterwards thats hard. please pray, thanking you in advance.

Give Dan A Hand

Hey gang!

Don't know if anyone will read this in time, but please pray for me tomorrow afternoon. I've got my PGCE interview at Liverpool Hope University - and it's the mother of all interviews!

I've got a written test on an educational topic, a standard type University interview (probing questions about my CV and why I want to be a teacher) and I have to give a presentation on a lesson I might give. It's taking more preperation than I had planned for and it's just daft how strict they are on letting people in.

Anywho think of me tomorrow if you get the chance please.

I'm not around at the weekend so won't see any of you until next week.

hello!

wow someone else posted!

i am extremely tired from the great weekend that has just passed....just wondering why some never came? there wasn't much on for the youth (13+ sessions)...assuming that was because not many of us came.

also...wondering or rather hoping...will we still have youth reteats...? the youth work is being picked up now and thanks to Neil and Lynsey, Jeannette and Glyn for that. just wondering if the youth retreat is something that will continue and not cease to exist. i love the retreats (incase you havent noticed...) its a great chance to get to know each other better and do random silly things which i like doing (the silly things...i'm not that good at random..)

I worked it out

Ok so im not the cleverest of people especially when it comes to things like this.... well for ages ive been trying to make posts on here and havnt been able to do it. First of all It told me my account was old and i needed to upgrade to a new one so I did. Then it told me that until everyone who was a member of this blog had upgraded I wouldnt be able to do anything.. well in short nightmare but today I noticed the little new post button. So hi!

tbh i cant remember why I had wanted to post in the first place. I think it was something to do with a funny video i found on Youtube of some guy singing the war cry song lol. If I find it again ill post it for you.

So what happened to this site. it didnt last very long. noones done their daily posts since about christmas! I like to know whats going on with everyone. But noone will prob read this anyway as it only seems to be becky that still uses this site. So hi to becky!

To those of you all doing exams hope there going ok. I finished last week Its great. Unis over except now Im having to job and house hunt which isnt so much fun.

See you all soon x
